AutismUGA donates over $6,000 at the Georgia Walk for Autism

Today was a fantastic day at the Georgia Walk for Autism, and we were thrilled to donate over $6,000 to Autism Speaks on behalf of AutismUGA!  The huge crowd at Atlantic Station included families, service providers and volunteers who came out to support the cause, and to celebrate a year of fundraising!

It was definitely inspiring to receive words of encouragement and gratitude for the work that AutismUGA and our members do in Athens from Autism Speaks’ president Mark Roithmayr, as well as from Bernie and Billie Marcus, who founded the Georgia chapter of Autism Speaks.

Can’t wait to kick-off our second year on the UGA campus, and to continue to support the research, advocacy and family services made possible by Autism Speaks.
