autismuga’s professional panel
AutismUGA hosted the first Professional Panel last night at the UGA Chapel. It was a great event that connected UGA students, local families and sevice providers in the community. The evening featured five wonderful speakers, each providing valuable education and insight. Thanks to everyone who made the event possible–including our speakers, guests and the fantastic AutismUGA members and volunteers.
Speakers included:
Martha Hackney, Clarke County Director of Special Education
Barbara Gaertig, Special education teacher and creator of REAL Saturdays program at Barnett Shoals
Garrett Butch, founder of Maximum Potential ABA therapy videos for parents and educators
Cheryl Boop, Occupational therapist, Athens Regional Medical Center
Sherry Richardson, Parent advocate, Parent to Parent of Georgia
